Located on the Route des Grandes Alpes at an altitude of 2300 m, the Napoleon refuge, built in 1858, is one of six refuges built thanks to a legacy of Napoleon 1st in the department of Hautes-Alpes in thanks for the warm welcome he received. had reserved the inhabitants on his return from the island of Elba. The Mountain hut is not far from the site classified "Casse Déserte".
